I've really got my doubts about Kreidler.    I would really prefer Jones over him as the CF option to pair with Perez.

It looks like Sweeny and Javy at SS for the next 2 years or so. So 3rd base would get Kevin to the ML quicker. I guess, if he can handle 3rd base. We'll see if the Tigers move him around this season down on the farm. We just need to get him to change his name to something fans can pronounce and spell. 🤣🤣

I don’t think the Tigers are committed to either Sweeney or Baez beyond this season.  Probably stopgaps, unless Sweeney shows something.

If Jave is healthy and producing, he'll play out his contract. When is that, thru '27? I don't see the Tigers eating that kinda money, but who knows?

While I agree, I don't see it. But I question if the Tigers will eat that contract when he has season long struggles. I'm rooting for Javy, I just don't see it.

for the sake of argument, I'm going to assume the Docs have the Tigers persuaded that Javy is likely to show some recovery to his prior self, otherwise the lack of urgency around adding a SS seems a little dumber than I'd like to believe the FO is.

Yeah, he was injured and is recovering from a pretty tough surgery. I'm not convinced the injury is what made him the worst hitter in baseball though. It's his wild crazy swing approach. But, we'll see. I'll be rooting for the guy.

I-4 through Orlando is a major traffic cluster. Last year we did I-95 to I-4 to Lakeland…brutal. This year we went to Ocala off I-95 around Jacksonville and avoided Orlando altogether, going and coming back. 

The Cactus League would be a great trip one year. My wife wants to go there next year but she heard that there were Tarantulas in Arizona so that might not happen. 🫣

On Sunday we left the game at 3pm to get to TPA for a 5:50pm flight. Instead of taking us down I-4, which is the most direct route, Apple Maps routed us around it, west on 582 (Griffin/Knights Station Road), then down 39 back to I-4, which was still clogged in spots going into Tampa. The estimate when we left was 57 minutes. It took us nearly an hour and a half instead. But by the time we dropped off the car, took the tram, got through TSA and arrived at the gate, they were just starting to board. So the delay just happened worked out perfectly this time.
