Guess no one’s much interested in this game. It took Mize 70 pitches to make it through 3.1 scoreless one-hit innings with 3BBs and 4Ks. I’m not watching it. I was watching the A-Team on YouTube TV. Mindless corny fun.

I’m following this on gameday and there are huge lags for seven or eight pitches where nothing happens and I keep hoping that perhaps a new version of Morganna the Kissing Bandit is occurring and then to my dismay I just realize that gameday is malfunctioning.

The Rays sort of gave Faedo enough rope to hang himself in that inning. He walks the bases loaded and they keep him in there until he ends up allowing three runs.

It would be really huge if Tork could keep this up into the regular season. I pretty much gave up on him, and although I’m not exactly a credible observer, I am happy to be proven wrong.

I had long hair for the first nine years I lived in the heat of Tucson, Arizona, and finally realized it was stupid to be tucking that hair up under a hat to keep it off my neck so I got a haircut and it’s been pretty much the same ever since.

And the thing I noticed immediately is that when I went in a store, people no longer followed me around thinking I might shoplift. On occasion, people even called me “sir.“

Collectively, some of the mainstays of the bullpen allowed one run over 5.2 today. I don’t know much about the caliber of the Rays hitters that they sat down, but it was still nice to see the relief staff perform well.

The pizzas kept falling off. Maybe Tork will come up with a new celly if he makes the team.

I would be so happy if Tork becomes something like Dave Kingman. Hit loads of homers, if not necessarily for average, and provide at least adequate defense and DH a lot. This is still just spring training, but it’s a lot more than merely nothing.

Dave Kingman, there's a name from the past! Iirc only player to hit home runs for 4 different teams (2 NL and 2 AL) in the same season, 1977. I'd take that career for Tork. 400+ HR
