Sports_Freak Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Yup...Greene won't be playing CF. Even though he's our best option and we have several players who can fill in at LF. Okie-dokie. Quote
1776 Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Tigers/Braves breakout game at 4:05 this afternoon. I’ve watched a couple of these games. This one should be entertaining. Quote

But, if you really only need to do this for 2-3 weeks, shouldn't you? Quote

Okie-dokie. He seems to be Mr. Glas. There’s just a lot of territory in CF for him to cover and more chances to get a boo-boo. Quote
1776 Posted March 16 Posted March 16 Flaherty ran everyone off early. I hope Fetter can get things turned around for him. Quote

Tiger starter batters haven't looked all that great all week. They were making Suarez look like Cy Young today of course. Quote

Expecting guys who are absolutely going to be on the OD roster to lock in like normal is asking a lot. Spring Training can fool ya. Mike Laga was the King of Spring. Hit .199 over 9 MLB seasons with never more than 6 Home Runs in a season. Quote
Tiger337 Posted March 16 Posted March 16 As soon as the season starts, I expect us to find out that Spring training performance means practically nothing just like every year. 1 Quote

I sense things are shifting though. Pitchers are coming to camp already throwing at full velo, and it at least seems to me that the arrangement where our starters play your starters for 5 innings or 3 AB is becoming more the rule, so there are fewer AB by established vets against scrub pitchers or top pitchers against AA scrubs - at least trend wise. I think Ibanez is a lock. 1 Quote
