Deleterious Posted March 17 Posted March 17 No reason to watch this one. Wasn't much of a reason to watch, even if he plays. Quote

buddha Posted March 18 Posted March 18 up 30 with 7 minutes left in the game and we have our first marcus sasser sighting. Quote
Betrayer Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Hopefully we don't let our guard down like we did against the Wizards when we see this team again in a few days. Big stretch here with some weaker opponents coming up: Miami, Dallas, New Orleans (again), and Spurs. You have to win all of those because after that it's Cleveland, Minnesota, OKC. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 18 Posted March 18 Avoiding the play-in is going to be real nice for this team. Their last regular season game is on a Sunday, and the actual 1–8 playoffs will start that following Saturday. So they will get 5 days off to rest/practice, possibly 6 if their first game is Sunday. So the players should be well rested. It is also nice knowing their opponent right away. The 1 and 2 seeds have to wait and see who they get. The Pistons will know who they play once the final games end on Sunday. So they have 5 or 6 days to formulate a game plan and run some practices with what they want to do in game. 1 Quote
NYLion Posted March 18 Posted March 18 (edited) The Pistons sure know how to take care of business against teams they should beat. Outside of that Wizards slip up, the Pistons aren't just beating these teams they're pounding them. The issue is, as expected really, is that they struggle against playoff teams. 0-4 in their last 4, against Denver, Clippers, Warriors and Thunder. They were competitive in 3 of those games but it's indicative of a team that is likely a one and done in the playoffs. Wildly successful season either way but the bottom line is that I hope Langdon doesn't rest on his laurels this offseason and makes a push to bring in a significant player to team with Cade. I wouldn't hate it if they ran it back with this group and see where internal development takes them with a healthy Ivey but I feel like there might be a somewhat limited ceiling with this group in terms of championship contention. Anyway, that's looking ahead. Right now, this team is real fun to watch with an upward trajectory which we'll take over last seasons' disaster. Edited March 18 by NYLion 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Duren is allowing opponents to shoot 61.3% at the rim this year. It is the bottom third of all centers. I thought maybe his number would be trending down since most feel he is playing better defense. Since the new year, he is allowing an even worse 65.7% and is almost dead last among all centers. For reference. Stew is 45.7% for the year and 46.2% since the new year. Both in the top 5 for centers. 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted March 19 Posted March 19 Damn. Golden State is resting Curry tonight against Milwaukee. Quote

I'd like to see him closer to 25, especially once the playoffs start. 1 Quote
