IdahoBert Posted March 25 Posted March 25 So Margot snagged a long flyball in the deepest part of the ballpark and he got our only hit thus far. Good job. Quote
IdahoBert Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Hanifee had some pretty decent movement on those pitches. Also the strike zone box for the first time in any of the games I’ve watched this spring is finally being imposed above the plate. I can really live without that. Quote

Actually I wouldn't call sending out either Ray or Adames among the Tigers' finer moves. I really didn't like David Price. That trade haunts us to this day. Quote
IdahoBert Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Tork with a Gold Glove play at first. And Foley gets a 1-2-3 inning. Quote
IdahoBert Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Greene with a huge homer in the water as bugs buzzed around him. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted March 25 Posted March 25 The Giants guys did zero homework for this game - from not knowing Malloy's name to not knowing Chafin doesn't have a contract. No idea what they are watching on the Detroit side. Quote
IdahoBert Posted March 25 Posted March 25 In honor of this game being in California, I ran over to the local In-N-Out Burger and got a hamburger and a chocolate milkshake. We have a **** ton of Californians moving to Idaho, and finally they had to be placated by bringing their favorite burger joint here. We have three of them now in my area. It’s inexpensive and good enough. Pretty decent milkshake for only four bucks. Nothing to write home about though. Quote
IdahoBert Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Man, I can’t tell these teams apart their jerseys and hats and everything they all the same color. Quote
IdahoBert Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Kreidler with a triple that was almost a home run or at least it was a triple because the two outfielders misplayed it. Quote

I remember my BIL carrying on about In-and-Out once when we were travelling with them to the Sierra's so we had to make a stop. It was good - but I'm basically not a burger guy so whatever. I do remember the Raven in the parking lot though. He saw some value there, and they are smart birds. Quote
IdahoBert Posted March 25 Posted March 25 The way guys are playing these balls in the outfield I get the feeling that the wind whipping off of the ocean plays tricks with the air. Quote
IdahoBert Posted March 25 Posted March 25 When I eat at In-N-Out, I don’t feel like I’ve been poisoned like I do at a lot of other chain restaurants and that’s definitely a plus. Everything‘s fresh, nothing is ever transported in a frozen state, which means they have to have regional hubs within a 5hr drive of their restaurants. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted March 25 Posted March 25 (edited) Tigers playing their RF a lonnnng way toward center againt LHB a lot this spring. High risk/reward when the guy pulls one. Edited March 25 by gehringer_2 Quote
Sports_Freak Posted March 25 Posted March 25 I just saw the highlight of Riley's HR. He hit it into the bay...lol Quote

They are playing assuming some lefties are not going to pull much. We got to a couple of ST games last week and they were doing it then - of course at Lakeland I think it also has to do with the wind. The get a lot of very windy days in Lakeland. IdahoBert Posted March 25 Posted March 25 Another mic’d player for the sake of people who find baseball boring so you have to do something do “keep them in the game.” This stuff really annoys me. Maybe I’m too easily annoyed, but I don’t like it. Quote
