Tigeraholic1 Posted March 25 Posted March 25 (edited) Detroit, MI - Little Caesars Arena Pistons 40-32 Spurs 31-39 Looking ahead: 3/28 vs Cavs 57-14 Edited March 25 by Tigeraholic1 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted March 25 Posted March 25 The game a week from tomorrow against OKC has been moved to ESPN. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 25 Posted March 25 FWIW, Cade and THJ are both listed as questionable for tonight. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 25 Posted March 25 One of the cap gurus wrote an article today. They mentioned Detroit could get to $20 million in cap space. So now some fans are saying use the $20 million to sign someone new, then use the MLE to keep Beasley. That is not how it works. You can not double-dip like that. You would take the $20 million number and subtract the MLE from it, which is $14 million. So instead of just having the MLE to spend, the Pistons would get an extra $6 million for a total of $20 million. Quote

Deleterious Posted March 25 Posted March 25 I can't believe a team starts Harrison Barnes, Bismack Biyombo, and Chris Paul. Maybe if it was 2015. 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Blood clots are odd. Career ender for Bosh. Asuar was out, what? 8 months or so. The article says people are optimistic Dame can return this season. Could be blowing smoke to keep selling playoff tickets I guess. Quote

Which have their own dangers. Quote
casimir Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Is Marcus Sasser building up his trade value for the offseason? Quote

I don’t not against Sasser, I tend to agree with you that he was probably miscast. I can see him as a part of a rotation off of the bench. Maybe he could develop some point skills, but definitely not in starter minutes, and maybe only in scaled back bench minutes. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Sasser is nothing more than salary filler in a trade. Revisit this if he strings together a month or two of good games. Quote
Betrayer Posted March 26 Posted March 26 Great showing by Sasser, but we already knew what he was - a scorer who can get his own. Problem is he's not much more than that and he's undersized. Makes it really tough to find a spot in the rotation for him. More importantly, the Pistons are now at least .500 on the season and they're 1 win away from doing something nobody has ever done - tripling their win total from the previous season. Not only that, the few teams that have exceeded the Pistons single season turnaround in games won have done so by adding a Hall of Fame player. The Pistons added 3 vets who've never even been to an All-Star game and also lost their 2nd best scorer in early January. Atkinson will win CoY because that's been the narrative all season, but the Cavs won't hit the 70 games people were predicting and they won't even have the best record in the league. 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted March 26 Posted March 26 (edited) Jokic is listed as doubtful right now. Gordon is doubtful. EDIT: Gordon is actually listed as questionable. Edited March 26 by Deleterious Quote
RandyMarsh Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Watching the Indy/LAL game and I felt dirty fist pumping and letting out a "yes" for a Lebron James game winner. 1 2 Quote
Deleterious Posted March 27 Posted March 27 I agree with Twitter. Big mistake from Carlisle not taking the TO to get Haliburton back into the game for the Indiana possession. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Bucks lose so Pistons jump a half game infront of them for the 5th seed. With the way Indy has been playing if we can't ge the 4 seed I wonder if we're better off dropping to 6 and playing the Knicks to be honest. 1 Quote

Brutal schedule incoming, so we could wind up in 6th pretty easily. I'd be happy with winning 1 out of the next 3 and they may not even get that (CLE, @MIN, OKC). Be careful what you wish for though, because Indy could pass New York as well. Last 3 games are against the Knicks and Bucks x2. It'll be interesting to see how much could shift with those games or if seeding is locked and they just roll out the reserves. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Looks like Cleveland will sit Mobley tonight for rest. Jarrett Allen is the only Cav to play every game this year. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 27 Posted March 27 Holland and Beasley are the only Pistons to play every game. Quote
