Fun fact:  Assuming Jake Rogers starts today, it will be the first time the Tigers have fielded the same catcher on consecutive Opening Days since James McCann from 2016-2018.

Dodger stat page says Snell has only worked 4.2 innings in ST. Expect a short start?

It's going to be a short start because our powerful line-up is going to crush him.  He'll be lucky to get out of the first inning.

Of course I got Red Wing Tickets tonight 🙂

I think we're allowed to change the channel in the suites.

My excuse is even worse: I have a bowling league on Thursday nights.

Normally the game would be on in the afternoon, I would watch it, and then go bowling at night. But since it's Cy Young Skubal vs Ohtani and the world champs, the game got bumped back to a 6:10pm CT start for a national cablecast on, ironically, the football/basketball sports leader. At that exact time I will be on Western Avenue driving to the alley, with our league night starting at 6:45pm, and going through to about 9:30pm, well after the game will be over. And no way any of the TVs at the alley could be tuned to the game because, thanks to the genius of Rob Manfred, Opening Day is the same day the NCAA Sweet 16 starts, and everyone at the bowling alley has a bracket to follow.

The Tigers have not announced the starting pitchers for the next two games although the Dodgers have and they are first Yamamoto, and then Sasaki.

I saw somewhere that it’s Flaherty followed by Olson.

Flaherty and Olson. My guess.

boo-hisss!

I will miss that while seeing the Wings go up 1-0 early then lose 4-1.

Pretty sure twice in the last week I get the alert the other team scored, and when I almost immediately switch over, they've scored another!

This game is going to conflict with me watching my beloved Arizona Wildcats probably get picked apart by Duke.

This baseball game allegedly “starts“ at 5 PM my time in the Mountain Time Zone but with all the dog and pony shows that go on it probably won’t start until 5:30 so I’ll probably miss Duke getting out to a 20–3 lead. Life isn’t fair

I would think that Flaherty taking on the team he got the ring with is a no-brainer.

It would be wise to have Jobe and Mize start against the weak-hitting Mariners.

How is there no game on Sunday?    What a clusterfoible.

Travel day, on a Sunday? I've never seen such horrible scheduling. I'm calling my congressman!! 😆

I like when it seemed that everyone was watching the game live at the same time. Now between alerts and some games being on apps or listening on satellite radio and different cable companies and message board posts, there can be a 0-100 second difference between when people find out about a goal or run being scored.
