Right, it would seem present value of the bonus shouldn’t be spread out IMO, if deferrals will reduce it.

Or at least charge the salary cap in future years for the amount not charged in the present value calculation.  Example if Ohtani’s present value is 46 mil/yrover 10 years, charge the remaining 240 million to the cap over the years the deferrals are paid.
