Looks like I picked a bad game to miss the top of the 1st.

Meh nothing happened.  Just a Malloy lead off double, Carpenter RBI single, Carpenter tootblan, Riley HR, Tork single, Keith walk, Dingler rbi single, Sweeney rbi single, Javy 2 RBI double, and Malloy BB.  That’s all

So, the radio feed was way off by a factor of seconds in the top of the first, but it is practically right on for the top of the second. Maybe just a few microseconds fast.

I checked out every other game I could that’s live now, and the radio was well off for the Angels; slightly off for the Braves; and off minimally for the Dodgers. So at least it’s not a Tigers-only thing. But, really, it’s 2025 for cry eye, how can they not get something as seemingly straightforward as synching audio to video?

Honestly, after last season’s miracle run at the end, it feels weird to see Baez in the field for the Tigers. It almost feels like seeing Candelario in the field for the Tigers. You kind of figure he’s gone gone, but then, hey look, there he is.

they should hire me to manage it. I'm unemployed anyway, could use something to tide me over till I find a new gig.

Man, what a great adjustment by Tork on that changeup for a simgle—something he would not have done any season before this.

Tigers have had a number of guys that stood very straight in the box, going all the way back to Alex Avila. I never liked it, not only because it's not a very 'athletic' position to reach pitches from, but just the distance your head starts away from the zone and the resultant tendency for your head to still be moving during the swing. For sure it works for some guys, but I'm glad Tork has gone to a more typical crouch.

If the radio and video are going through different IP paths how could they guarantee the feed from two different sources get to you in sync even if they wanted too?  Each network path is going to get buffered as per the requirement on that network. Not to mention the Video people have zero interest in you listening to the radio while watching their video, so they aren't going go out of their way to help you do it! I wish it worked together too but I'm doubtful it ever will.

Me too

My coach wanted me to use the crouched stance because I was already on the small/skinny side.  He wanted me to just draw walks and then steal second base every time.  Which is a great strategy but not much fun when you’re a little kid watching Rob Deer and Cecil Fielder on TV all the time.
