Dead for me too on MLB. But I also have the XM Sirius app and listening to it post-game that way now. Player of the game is Casey Mize.

I love Bobby Sales enthusiasm...but would prefer it on the telecast. Radio I prefer more mellow.

Maybe here’s a clue why Tommy Kahnle throws change ups all the time.

My question on Kahnle was related to hitters being able to adjust to a pitch they see over and over. I had assumed he was throwing them with some (perhaps) subtle differences. But the speed wasn’t different. Maybe subtle grip changes so it drops more/less or tails differently? Mariano throwing cutter after cutter, but having it do slightly different things. I think he varied the speed though.

Rivera's talent was his awesome command. He never, ever, threw the ball anywhere but the 4 corners and he generally never threw it to the same corner twice in a row. When you look at his heat maps you can see the big hole in the middle!

But the issue with Kahnle is exactly going to be how much you can use him in one series because hitters will figure out anything without enough variation given enough reps.

Funny how they sill call it a change up, I mean if you throw it every pitch and at the same speed what exactly are up changing up?

I'm leaning toward the brighter side because for both, their strong starts are extensions of how they produced in spring training

I have always liked Kahnle. I have a lot of confidence he will be a good asset for the Tigers.

Be pretty amazing if the two 1/1's we wrote off last year as washouts lead us to the playoffs

If healthy, Detroit's rotation is potentially as strong as any other team, including LAD and Seattle. Life would be even better if Mars Candy Co would bring back the marathon bar
