monkeytargets39 Posted Wednesday at 10:19 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:19 PM Who do we trust more- Javy or Kriedler? Quote
IdahoBert Posted Wednesday at 10:23 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:23 PM Well, that’s a disappointing way to end the game. Quote
Tiger337 Posted Wednesday at 10:25 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:25 PM If all the games continue as they are, It will be a five-way tie. Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted Wednesday at 10:30 PM Posted Wednesday at 10:30 PM I am at a point where I feel Dingler should be the primary catcher. Quote

Jake has played 5 years and is now 30. He is what he is - doubtful he will ever clear the Mendoza line again. Dingler isn't particularly young either, but he could still have some improvement possible. Quote

Dingler at least has a track record of minor league offensive success. Even though it seems to take him a while after each level progression to get to it. Rogers rarely puts good at bats together. Motor City Sonics Posted Wednesday at 11:28 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:28 PM It was rough starting 0-3 to the Dodgers (and the unequal strike zones), but if Minnesota holds their lead today, every team in the AL Central will be 2-4. Fresh Start on Friday. Make it count. Quote
kdog Posted Wednesday at 11:32 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:32 PM They've lost both games Skubal has started and he hasn't been dominant in either one...2-4 is fine but I need to hear some positive news on Vierling here soon. Quote

I can see other teams marketing, saying "come out to the park and see Tarik Skubal, Cy Young winner." Not a single player/team is more focused when facing Skubal than they were last year. 2 Quote
papalawrence Posted Wednesday at 11:58 PM Posted Wednesday at 11:58 PM The poor Keith decision led to the first 2 runs. Pick it, throw it to first, inning over. Skubal will be dominate 1 Quote

SoCalTiger Posted yesterday at 01:02 AM Posted yesterday at 01:02 AM Watching Keith play second I understand why they made him a first baseman. Quote

I wonder, had he not gone to retake the runner on the stolen base (Bliss?), does Seattle challenge? It turned out to be nothing in the end, so, ok, big deal. Then when he was out at the plate, he clearly ran inside the running lane. If the throw hits him, is he automatically called out? And if not, can the play be challenged? Quote

Skubal will be dominate Trammell would often go to 1st for the third out even when the short throw to 2nd was available, because there were always fewer things that could go wrong. Of course he had a lot of confidence in his throwing accuracy. Quote

Sports_Freak Posted yesterday at 03:03 AM Posted yesterday at 03:03 AM The Tigers are making Keith walk home and then castrate him when he gets here so he never reproduces? Quote

I’m not counting on Parker coming back. Not that I believe he never will—he might. But for the sake of mental health as it relates to expectations, I’m just assuming he’s not in the plans for this year. I’m more waiting for Vierling and (gulp) Wenceel to come back for this year, and also, for Max Clark next year. Quote

Which was dumb, he woulda been easily doubled off anyway. But that LF was playing so shallow, he woulda been a dead duck at home even with a great jump. But if Sweeny woulda gotten that bunt down, or even advanced the runners.... Quote

Keep in mind what we see on TV is different than what he’s seeing from his angle. Although, I do wonder if he played very conservatively given his foibles earlier in the game. Plus, weren’t there 0 outs? Struggling pitcher, they probably didn’t have anyone warming up. Yes, the next 3 hitters aren’t exactly awe inspiring, but bases full with none out? I like the odds of getting a point there. Quote
