gehringer_2 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Javy and Nate Thomlinson out there agreeing that NY is nuts. Quote
monkeytargets39 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 (edited) I don’t like that teams can make the umps wait for a second before they decide to challenge so they can get someone in the dugout or clubhouse to tell them to challenge or not. If you want to challenge you shouldn’t get be seeing replays first Edited April 7 by monkeytargets39 Quote

gehringer_2 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 (edited) that is a stupid explanation - or an explanation of a stupid rule. Edited April 7 by gehringer_2 Quote

IdahoBert Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Oswaldo Cabrera grounds into a double play, pitcher Tyler Holton to shortstop Javier Báez to second baseman Colt Keith to first baseman Spencer Torkelson. Austin Wells out at 2nd. Oswaldo Cabrera out at 1st. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 there are days you don't even care if Baez can hit. 1 Quote

I wouldn’t agree with that one, myself. I think Colt might go back for a stint when Gleyber returns, unless Colt snaps the **** out of whatever fog he’s in in the meantime. Quote
Sports_Freak Posted April 7 Posted April 7 With Judge lurking, that DP was huge. Javy healthy and producing? Tork producing? Mize pitching like a #1 SP? That makes for a possible division winning team. Quote

gehringer_2 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 Just now, Sports_Freak said: I don't see it. He's here to stay, at least, IMO. When Torkelson started hitting in ST this became a dilemma they were going to have to face. Gleyber's trip to the DL just put it off a bit. But Malloy, Torkelson, Keith and Torres are one too many guys for the same positions. A trade would be the natural solution, but trades don't seem to be this FO's favorite pastime - and who to where? gehringer_2 Posted April 7 Posted April 7 1 minute ago, chasfh said: Do you think the front office is fearful and anxious about making trades? No, I think if anything it's more about young players. They have been willing to move vets, but I think they think they can develop more out of any young player than their current trade value so they just don't like to move young players, and in this case all four players in the mix are young players still probably on the upside. chasfh Posted April 7 Posted April 7 I’m pretty sure we’re not going down to 12 pitchers anytime soon. Quote
