Duren and Harris listed as questionable.

These are not throwaway games.  Pistons go 0-2 and Milwaukee goes 2-0 and the weekend games no long matter.

Bucks  play tonight after playing last night.  No word on Giannis yet.  Minnesota is tied with 3 other teams for the 4th-8th seed, so they have to put a real team out.  So good news for us.

Sacramento also played last night.

Milwaukee actually plays tomorrow.  Only 2 games tonight.

JB getting the guys to play hard is commendable.  But this summer, Trajan has to go add some talent to this roster.

yeah....but who?

nobody wants anyone who might be available.

You're right.  I don't know.  Hope someone bites on Duren?  Ivey is sort of like adding some talent since he missed 50+ games.

People will have a fit when I say this.  But if there is a decent backup PG free agent this summer, they might be better off spending money on him rather than Beasley.

beasley went on a run but seems to have come back to earth.  he's a good role player, not someone you spend big - or even medium - money and term on.

they must have a backup point guard next year.

but either ivey develops into that #2 scoring option or they're destined to be cade and the try hard gang every year.

we'll see how the playoffs go but i imagine that you'll see a ton of what you sae tonight: stick around for a while but when it gets to crunch time they double team cade at midcourt and make tobias harris or tim hardaway beat you.  maybe beasley gets hot and they steal a game.  cant see them winning more than one, maybe two.

maybe someone really likes holland or duren?  throw holland and a bunch of picks to phoenix and see if you can get booker.  although i'm sure they'd want ivey or ausar.  i'm not the biggest ausar fan but i'd hate to part with him over duren or holland.

Listening to the new Zach Lowe podcast and he has Howard Beck on.  They got into all nba teams.  Lowe does not have a  vote, but he had Cade as the 4th guy on third team.  Beck mentioned Cade for third team but said he was sort of thinking Garland there instead, but never really listed his third team.

Maybe Cade isn't the lock I thought he was.

Garland over Cade is ridiculous.

Their argument against it wasn't Cade vs Garland.  It was if Cleveland deserved 3 players on the team.  They had Mitchell and Mobley on the 1st and 2nd team already.

I think I would put Cade on the 2nd team.  But I was shocked to hear someone like Lowe say he is the back end of the third.  He is one of the few media types that I respect.  He tends to know his stuff.

Tobias is greatly missed. Partly because he does a lot of important things on the court for this team. Partly because without him they don't have a single other PF on the roster and Simone has been absolute trash this season.

Ausar was +13 in his minutes and that matches the eye test. You could feel the difference when he was in the game.

Starting Schroder and riding him for 30+ minutes is a bad idea. He's just too small and he can't shoot (29% from 3), yet he's far more willing to take shots he shouldn't. He's here for one reason - so you can run the offense when Cade is on the bench. For now I'd start Holland and get him some experience.

It feels like we're basically locked into 6th at this point. You can tell they're resting guys and not actively pushing for the 5th seed and the Indiana matchup. I don't like the negative momentum going into the playoffs, but other than that I'm fine with making sure you're healthy. I'd rather have the Knicks anyway. I don't think they'll win either series but the Knicks are a slightly better matchup and at least your big playoff splash doesn't get pushed to NBA TV.

Jaden Ivey? Harris being out hasn't helped either. There's some guys missing from the team that we'll see next season.

The reality is that they're missing a dynamic scorer with Ivey out so that's a big chunk of their secondary offense, ballhandling out of the lineup.

Regardless, this is a wildly successful season but realistically one or two playoff wins at best should be the expectation. They're not beating the Knicks in a playoff series barring some divine intervention, they don't have enough experience or firepower to compete in a playoff series.

He has a high usage rate on a team without a lot else going on, so Cade is going to have to be on a team that beats some other good teams in the playoffs before he get the cred his numbers otherwise argue.

If every game Lavine played was against the Pistons he would be ahead of LeBron on the scoring list. I swear he averages over 40 a game against us.

This seems crazy.  It’s not most valuable or best team.  It’s the best players in the league.  All-NBA actually means something with significant contract escalators tied to it.

Mobley is nowhere near the top 20 players in the league much less top 10.

Spyda is not anywhere close to 1st team.    Who are they leaving off?  Even with Luka not qualifying you have SGA, Joker, Giannis, Tatum, and Antman.   Mitchell is not better nor are his numbers than these guys in any way, shape, or form.

As for Cade,  all those guys plus Steph & Lebron will get love, KD may get it too,  Kat may get a little more run, and maybe the last spot on 2nd team comes down to Spyda over Cade.

Lowe has SGA, Jokic, Tatum, and Giannis as locks for 1st team and Mitchell as the fifth.  Second team was Edwards, Curry, Mobley, Lebron, and Haliburton.

Back also had his 1st team as SGA, Jokic, Tatum, and Giannis, and Mitchell.  Second is Edwards, Steph, Mobley, JJJ, and KAT.

Lowe third team he said locks are KAT and JJJ.  Brunson if he gets to 65 games, which he still can.  He has Cade as the fourth guy and KD if he makes 65, which he probably wont.  He said if KD doesn't get 65 then he would consider JDub, Sengun, Harden, Sabonis, and Young.

Beck's third team was very muddy.  That guy is asked a question, speaks for 10 minutes, and answers everything but the actual question he was asked.  But he mentions Lebron and Haliburton are locks.  Brunson if he hits 65.  He said Cade has been awesome and he considered him.  But he think Garland is being overlooked.  He mentions Siakam.  He mentions JDub, and KD if he hits 65.  At this point he starts talking about Trae Young and his Sally Jessy Raphael glasses and I turned it off.

Pretty hard to not put Lebron on 1st team when he is 24/8/8 on 60% TS%.

I said it a few weeks ago.  You could argue Cade is having the better year than Mitchell.  26/9/6 for Cade vs 24/5/4 for Mitchell.  Neither is good on defense.  Both are inefficient chuckers.  But nationally you wont find anyone that will ever entertain that idea.
