Olson has been a little erratic so far this year. But even tonight he would have worked out of most of it but for a goofball ump.

Maybe umpire need a few weeks to get into mid season form themselves/

Have to agree with Dickerson that it was pretty unusual. Almost every Umpire at some point will call a ball or two a strike, but you don't often see one call that many strikes  balls the way Fletcher was denying the inside edge against the LH hitters.

I gotta be honest.  I started mathing with 120 minutes for 2 hours to figure it out.  2 hours and 80 minutes for a 9 inning game?  So weird.

AB of the game was Torkelson's in the top 6th.  That was an [insert positive adjective] AB for him.

Third grade was so long ago.  I’m certain my teacher is no longer amongst us.  Didn’t need corporal punishment.  She could drop you with age appropriate commentary.  She didn’t dress like a nun, but I’m certain the plain clothes was just to throw the scent off.

I can only remember a few teachers that far back (coming up on what would be 55th high school reunion). I do think I would have been diagnosed with Attention Deficit Disorder or whatever. I was more interested in what was happening in the reading groups than doing the math worksheets.

Kind of funny that the Tiger-Twins was the first 200-minutes nine-inning game of the season, and then a couple hours later, the Mets-A’s matched it out in Oakl … er, Sacramento.
