seriously - if they aren't going to send him down, they have to put him out there to play through it, you just wish it weren't with an inexperienced guy like Jobe where a screw-up might be more likely to rattle him.

Day game after night game, so should they have gone Dingler, Nido, Dingler or Nido, Dingler, Dingler?  Nido might actually be the right call if it’s looked at from a catching experience standpoint to pair with Jobe.

Those were not good swing decisions by Riley on either that 1-0 or 1-1 pitch. He could be sitting 3-0 instead, and took a walk on that fourth pitch below the zone, and he might not have struck out on the breaker in the dirt.

He’s off at the moment, and the shake of his head going back to the dugout tells the rest of us that he knows it.
