Kahnle and Holton should be available for this game; Vest, Hanifee, and Hurter probably won't be.

We might get another Maeda sighting if it's later in the game with a three-plus run margin either way. We may also see Bailey Horn.

Someone said in another thread that we need Jack Flaherty to go at least seven. That sure would help some.

Vest may be able to go, if absolutely necessary. He only threw 10 pitches yesterday. He had Sunday off but he did throw 22 pitches Saturday. But yeah, he also pitched 3 out of the last 4. Hinch prolly won't use him. Taking 2 of 3 from SD would be huge. That's a real solid ballclub.

Running a 6 man rotation is a good idea for long stretches without many off days…..until you realize that now Maeda might have to be utilized more….

So if it's Margot in for Malloy, then is it possible that it's Keith that goes down for Matty V?      Not as a punishment, mind you, but as a "work on this and that" thing.   Worked wonders for Parker last year.   Seems to have helped Tork too.

In the offseason when they were considering FA pitchers, I was hoping they'd sign him but they went with Cobb.   But in the TIgers defense, it's April 22nd and Cobb hasn't allowed a hit yet.
