The guy who does the general wrap up at the end of the radio broadcast of the last game said this series was taking place in Baltimore and the Tigers were “going on the road.” He said it twice. Since the Tigers don’t have a mega TV contract and do like ticket sales I am presuming he heard about this mistake.

Are we skipping Jobe in the rotation this time through or is he pitching tomorrow?

A certain someone who has tickets for tomorrows game is inquiring….

fwiw, MLB site has Jobe listed as tomorrow’s starter.

Anyone interested in old Tigers radio broadcasts, here's two for the price of one. Ernie and Paul calling both games of a Tigers-Orioles twi-night doubleheader in 1979. Wilcox the Game 1 starter, Jack Bellingham for Game 2.

I’m glad Baltimore is getting a reality check.  Their trade negotiations seemed especially arrogant in regards to moving prospects.

I don’t doubt that this is true but can you elaborate on this a bit? I don’t tend to pay too much attention to off-season news about other teams.

Last trade deadline, they made ALL of their young players untouchable. They still made the playoffs but their lack of pitching did them in. I think maybe the Tigers had offered them Flaherty.

There was talk of them wanting Skubal at one point and the supposed prospect capital that they were willing to part with was laughable

Yeah, I remember some talk about them needing pitching but not offering much in return. They do have several young good prospects but their lack of pitching, and pitching injuries, are destroying their 2025 season, so far. The pitching matchups this weekend heavily favors the Tigers. This has been a very successful home stand so far.
