I really want us to win this game, but in all reality, if they can only score 3 runs on average against what is considered one of the worst pitching staffs in baseball the Tigers don’t actually “deserve” to win this game.

'deserves' got nothing to do with it.

Dirk's description of Keith not getting his bottom half out in front of his upper body was a good bit - it put me in mind of Victor Reyes, who had the same issue but an order of magnitude worse - that 6'5" 200lb frame couldn't generate any consistent power because he never learned to get his hips out in front of his swing.

Their offseason was an epic failure.  Lost their HR hitter and their ace and replaced with next to nothing.    Can you imagine being an O's fan and having years of futility and now you've had two great seasons, but needed pitching and your team does almost nothing?    How furious would we be?        They are still young, but they are flushing prime years down the drain.
