Sports_Freak Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Skubal's last start was a chance to sweep KC. Tomorrow's start with a chance to sweep Baltimore. Quote

chasfh Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Either the Tigers or Skubal himself are weirdly snakebit when he starts. We are 2-3 on those occasions so far. Quote

The FB and Change are so good he tends to lock in, but you want guys who think about sitting on a change-up to know the next off-speed they get might still be something else. (Orioles) My guess is most of this board will feel the same way about the idea of trading Max Clark 3 months from now. Quote

I’m not sure Skubal isn’t one of those Koufax-types who is so dominant that you can know exactly what’s coming and you can’t hit it anyway. Anyhow, I do think of him as snakebit because even though the Tigers are 2-3 in his starts, he and his 2.83 ERA aren’t the main reason. Quote

What’s different, though, is that we are not in need of starting pitching. A SS upgrade might be nice, but I suspect we’d be in the hunt for someone who could be a shutdown, high leverage reliever. Someone like Josue Briceno is more likely to get dealt to address that, if required. Quote
RandyMarsh Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago This will be the sixth time already this year where we are playing for a sweep. Quote

I'm trying to find the negative in that and I can't. I may have been away from Michigan too long. Edited 38 minutes ago by romad1 Quote
