RandyMarsh
Nice to see Flores get some Ks even if it did come with 5 walks. Also Jung has been in a tailspin of late, right after it appeared he was starting to turn the corner. Too bad.
LongLiveMaroth
Just catching up on some reading and it sounds like the move to 2B for Keith will probably be something more permanent or at least more often and Perez looks like he will get more time in CF due to some yips at 2B. Too bad Al didn't take Neto who was the next pick by the Angels and is playing good shortstop in the majors now and holding his own with the bat. 1

Thank goodness this was Avila’s last draft.

Drafted 6th Jacob Berry .169/.203/.289 Drafted 8th Brooks Lee .268/.342/.435 Drafted 9th Gavin Cross .195/.292/.420 Drafted 11th Kevin Parada .243/.347/.405 Drafted 12th Jace Jung .221/.345/.376 I tried to pick players that were near Jung and were also coming out of college. What Neto is doing is not the norm so while having him would be fantastic and Jung has to hit to have value I would pump the brakes a bit on writing him off—just my 2 cents. I always try to root cause when you see this type of consistent performance. Was college pitching down and/or an influx of pitching injuries that somehow inflated these college hitters performance while in school? Seems odd that each have underperformed. Tenacious D
But I also agree it’s way too soon to give up on Jung.

Nor count on him becoming more than a terrible fielding second baseman who can't hit the fastball. But we can hope and I have been more wrong than right so his chances remain . 🙂
Shinzaki
Al was a trailblazer....GM's have been drafting kids who can't hit a breaking ball for years. Al went out and found that rare kid who can't hit a fastball 1

gehringer_2
IDK - I might rather have one or two guys completely outclassing their MiLB competition than have 8 guys batting 280 there because probably none of those 8 guys will ever make an impact in the Majors but that one guy might.

Tigerbomb13
In the two games since I besmirched Jace Jung’s bat, he’s gone off. I guess I should do that more. Santana having an .063 average and a .333 OBP in May is one of the strangest stat lines I’ve seen.
