Franklin Perez had a rough 1st outing in the FCL...since then, he's pitched 6 2/3 innings of shutout ball walking 2 and striking out 4 whileou' allowing 5 hits

You'd think if there were to be any hope for him at all he's got to move fast - -get back at least to AA this year.

Still got that spin and now looks like a cutter as well. Also reached 98 on the gun.

Nice to see.  Was worried when the original back issue surfaced, but looks like he could still salvage part of this season for his development.  Once he’s built up, it will be interesting to see where he goes.  Assuming West Michigan.

I am guessing WM as well as he only had a couple starts there last year. Maybe a spot start in Erie if things go well.

I think they used to call that "shoving"

I remember when everyone was using that.  I know it was just slang but it never made sense to me.  Pitchers don't shove the ball.  They fire it.   They throw smoke.  Even "dealing" makes some sense because is suggests smart pitching.

Peyton Graham may be turning a corner (or you know it could just be a small streak) but he has had a great day today (4/6 2 2B, HR and a SB) which has pushed his June totals to .342/.419/.474. Now that is only 10 games but he has been up ticking a bit since mid-May. Sure would be nice to get him going as he has true 20-20 potential.

Good to see he still has those spin numbers, those max numbers on the CB, Slider and cutter would top every MLB pitcher in baseball this year. Considering his age and just his 2nd start back from injury that is insane, of course there is far more to being a great pitcher than spin rate but it certainly doesn't hurt to have that kind of elite stuff.
