I see that the Twins just promoted Walker Jenkins to Single A, wonder when/if the Tigers are going to do that with Clark this year?

Next Tuesday. Complex season ends on Saturday, so expect a lot of promotions of players they want to get more PT. I bet we see McGonigle, Turney, Callahan, Campbell, Briceno too.

So will they activate Trumbull or keep him in AAA for second year of control ?

8 base runners in 11 outs does not exactly scream "Call me up - I'm ready"

OTOH, I think it might be safe to assume that in a game where 34 runs were scored, the K zone could have been the size of a postage stamp.

Automated zone in AAA on weekdays.

What are his chances of making it as a primary DH?  He'd probably need a .800 OPS to make it worthwhile.

It all boils down to how his patience and strike zone knowledge translates when pitchers are throwing more strikes than he's ever seen, and better quality strikes at that. Does the strikeout rate spike and power dip because he's still trying to wait out pitchers, or did he adjust and swing more at pitches he can drive?

Thanks,  I am hoping he makes it for a couple of reasons.  1.  I'd like to see them have a high OBP guy in their line-up.  It's been lacking for years.  2. I saw him interviewed and he sounds bright and personable.  He reminded me of Granderson and he could be a fan favorite if he succeeeds as a hitter.
