Mattison's a guy I've been keeping an eye on this year...

He looks really, really good...

I was thinking from a closer perspective... but maybe as a starter?

What does he throw? Slider? Curveball? Change? Speed and movement and control of his FB?

Turnbull was supposed to start for Toledo tonight, but Lael was called up from Erie to start. They need to make room for Diaz. Maybe Boras found more Turnbull injuries?

He's not being stretched out. He's opening. Bullpen day in Erie.

Bigbie hit 317 in his *worst* month this season. His has to be one of the longest sustained high average hitting performances in the system in recent years.

I read he may have been injured but not seeing it other than some tweets so no sure the validity

Colt Keith has been at 2B with a few appearances at 3B during that time.

they pulled him and Lipcius from the same game together as though they were both going to be called up and then......crickets for Wenceel.  🤷‍♂️

Yes he stopped playing 3b weeks ago, and then lately he's been playing 3b again while Keith, the 220 pound gorilla, plays 2b.  WTF?  We need an every day third baseman.  Not a platoon third baseman.  One of these guys needs to slot in at third, every day, because the good bat more than makes up for the shaky glove.  That just seems to be more likely to  be Keith at this point, so can we stop the nonsense about positional flexibility and decide, once and for all, where Keith plays?

According to Lynn Henning in this article, Colt's old shoulder injury has bothered his throwing, and he doesn't have the same throwing ability he did when he was drafted.
