Some quick notes from Henning around farm injuries:

▶ Unsettling injury news at Lakeland: Josue Briceno, the 19-year-old catcher who has had a dynamic spring, is gone for an indefinite stretch with a sprained knee. Briceno was hitting .306/.405/.426//.831 in 28 games, with two homers, two triples, and three doubles.

▶ Ryan Kreidler, the Toledo shortstop who has been gone since last month after having finger surgery, is on the rehab trail, taking at-bats, and should before the end of the month be closing in on game appearances. Also taking back-fields at-bats: shortstop/infielder/outfielder Eddys Leonard.

▶ Brady Cerkownyk, who seemed on the way to becoming a heavy-hitting catcher and potential steal from last July’s draft (15th round), will be mending for the remainder of 2024 and into 2025 after having Tommy John surgery. Cerkownyk is a Canada native who played last year at Connors State College.

Eddys Leonard on rehab assignment to Lakeland.

Dunford's move is likely procedural, but I'm trying to figure out why. I've got their Domestic Reserve List at 164, maybe they anticipate Adcock clearing waivers today which would put them at 165.

this is over the top as well. CC guy who will not get any pro at bats for almost 2 years after being drafted. but a possible "steal". Oh Lynn.

My only issue with the Brady C talk from Henning is the injury report put out a month ago by the team said he was out with "Right UCL Reconstruction." Also, he was put on the full season IL around Opening Day, so it's been known since then he's out for the year.

Clark would've had a triple if he weren't wearing those shoes

I know this is a joke but that was a show of speed to make that hit into a double. The throw was a rope and Clark still got there with time. I did notice it looks like the red and blue cleats though 😅.
