I'm waiting for the answer to that one too...

Yeah, they are pretty slow to promote people which that's fine I just think both Clark and McGonigle need to be tested by better pitching. Clark may not have the high BA but both his and McGonigle's average EV is high especially for the FSL. That being said when they are promoted it will be on a Monday or Tuesday as they probably wouldn't push them up mid series. Selfishly I want them up to WM before July so I can catch a game in Midland.

What difference does it make if, on June 8, 2024, McGonigle is in low A or high A? They probably have things they are working on with him; he got a late start to the year. Wait til all the boxes are checked and make the move when they are so you don't have to send him back and hamper his development. He's a year out of high school. You don't rush his development because Javy Baez can't hit my weight. It's not like McGonigle is banging down the door with a 1.500 OPS or anything like that.

I'm not rushing his development. If he needs to work on some things, that's fine. But at least at-the-bat... he's looking sort of ready... I don't know what they are working on in the field but that would seem to be something that could be done just as easily at WM as at Lakeland.

.1500? No. But he's batting .355 with a .938 OPS. At face value... I'd call that looking like he's ready to face/ be challenged by a higher grade of pitching. So I'm fine wondering when he may be getting the boost to A+.

YMMV.

I would suspect they will bump multiple guys up a level after the draft

Another 10 days + or so...

That works for me.

I hope Briceno is healed up by then. If I had to hazard a guess, McGonigle would be moved up right away but would Briceno (needs to get back into the swing after a couple of weeks out...) and Clark (struggling so far in June at .150/ .410 OPS) need to get a little hot streak so they move them up on an upswing?

I'd prefer McGonigle make the jump sooner rather than later.

maybe just waiting to see if Lakeland wins the mid season  championship in the FSL

When is that, July 14th?

If the other two need to wait until then... I won't protest.

If McGonigle moves up, maybe they can call up FRANYERBER Montilla to take his place...?

Small things from Henning this weekend:

Notable is that Lee no longer is a second baseman-only. Befitting the Tigers’ preferences, he now will play one game a week at third base. It’s a decision made jointly by Tigers front-office chief Scott Harris and assistant general manager Ryan Garko, who heads development.

Still no word on when Jackson Jobe might be headed back to Erie for rotation work following his May 1 hamstring strain.

He also has a write-up on FRANYERBER but not much to pull from it other than the fact he has been playing well which I mean we know.

its a hamstring injuring they are just being cautious so it doesnt happen again... he's thrown two bullpens but not against players ...accord to Sam the Seawolves broadcaster who was on the Tigers Minor League report last night

Yeah I just want Jobe to have 2-3 months of clean, injury free starts...hopefully he can finish the season. Not sure he will be close to any innings limitations now.
