Ethan Sloan but he didn't have a great debut.

Wondering why Bryce isn’t playing?  As a position player, seems like a no-brainer.  Only thing I can think of is that he was also a pitcher in HS and maybe they want to protect his arm from playing in the field.

For comparison, Max made it to Lakeland in his draft season.

Lynn guesses that Baez is released this Winter. That's possible.

Lynn was previously was super excited about Peyton Graham and Danny Seretti.

Hints that the answer to Montilla-Rainer issue for 2025 at Lakeland will be Montilla at 3b.

No, they call it selecting a contract now. No money exchanges hands between affiliates. Madden gets paid by the Tigers either way, but he was making likely the AAA minimum (don't know it off hand, check the CBA), and now is making the MLB minimum.

Once upon a time there was a 35 pitch an inning limit. Not sure if that's still around, but maybe that could be it.

IDK. They seem to be in love with Sweeney currently even though he booted his third ball in as many games yesterday and his OPS is <550. I'm OK with giving him a shot but so far he looks the part better than he's acting it.
