Guys like him don't have much value. Possible the injuries he had most of last year have just sapped his skills.

RH utility IFs who cannot play short have a painfully narrow path to the majors - even when they hit well, which he only did for a 6 week blip in 2023

Still, with Kreidler starting out in Det there would have been room for another SS at Toledo just to fill Ryan's spot, so they apparently no longer see whatever they thought the saw when they brought him on.

I noticed Guenther and Manning are not on the released Toledo roster. A few others who would procedurally need to be on their IL (like Baddoo, Vanasco, and Flores as well). I'm guessing they did not announce the players on the 15-Day IL, which leads me to believe Guenther and Manning are either injured or on the development list getting some work done in Lakeland.

so Toledo is playing at Round Rock of the PCL this week? do we really need interleague games at AAA? I thought the point of one week minor league stays was to cut travel time and costs? Can't hurt, but don't see the need for this.

I didn't realize that...

This is also the fifth year of the current alignment, and Toledo has yet to visit leaguemate Jacksonville in that time.

Bigbee back to Erie in favor of lots of AAAA talent that Harris is stashing to Toledo. Not a big deal, and maybe he get lots of at bats at Erie, but I'm sure he would prefer Toledo

I noticed Montero was scratched yesterday for a bullpen day. Makes me think they are keeping him fresh in case he is needed for a Saturday doubleheader.

They'd already put Clark on the cover of their web page  - it would have been a blow to have him skip completely. But hopefully both he and McGonigle have short stays.

I bought tickets to a game last fall…..only for McGonigle to be out injured and Clark given the day off….
