That sucks

Hit the head and pulled him to get checked.

Sounds like it was just precautionary so that's good.

That first round pick for the Reds Chase Burns carved up the top of our order at the Whitecaps game throwing 102 mph the announcers said.

He's not gonna be in A ball for long.

I couldn’t find any statistics for that Reds phenom first round draft choice Burns. I wonder if they just had him doing training or simulated games. He looked pretty good last night against the white caps for four innings.

Gonna go on a limb and guess Jace Jung is "ready" around May 25 or so when his service time is fully manipulated.

Seems to be the trend with Harris.

I believe he would have made the team had he shown that he was physical ready in the spring.  That's not to say that he can't be both physicaly and manipulation ready in May.  It would be hard for him to be worse than what they've been running out there at third so far.

Positive WAR at the position so far, fwiw. McKinstry isn't off to an awful start, and Ibanez made some plays today that aren't factored in yet. They are getting by.

One week of defensive WAR is pretty sketchy.  Ibanez and McKinstry are good bench players, but I don't want them getting too many at bats.

Could run into some interesting roster decisions over the few months, barring any additional injuries.  Who goes when Vierling, Meadows, Perez and Jung are all ready? Kreidler and Margot seem obvious, but will they demote/cut Ibanez and McKinstry?

I know... was really only replying to the post where it was implying they were hurting the team so far this year.

I still think McKinstry gets a bad wrap in these parts.

I’ll be curious to see if JHM goes down again when Torres is back or if we go another direction.

McKinstry is OK but he plays too much.  I was really hoping for Bregman and I believe they made a very serious bid to get him.  They have a good shot at the division title this year and next.  When I look at their rotation and see Torkelson perhaps finally breaking out, I think about how good they'd be with Bregman and a healthy Meadows.

I don’t miss Bregman, and never really wanted him.  I’m good with a Jung/Vierling platoon at some point this season.  McKinstry and Ibanez are just holding it down for now.

I know.  Hardly anyone here wanted Bregman, but I think Harris wanted him.

I wanted Bregman, but am okay not going overboard and retaining the draft pick.

I also think McGonigle is knocking down the door for this spot later this year.

Just need a healthy Meadows.  I'm a bit worried about that part.

McKinstry plays too much because too many guys are hurt and he has to cover for that. He wasn't supposed to play this much.

If he really wanted Bregman, why didn't Harris offer him the opt-out he wanted after year one?
