He actually had 4 plate appearances.  He was 0-2 with 2 walks.  You are correct that he was pinch hit for in the 9th

I've been following updates. We'll see how he does in the upper minors. So far he looks good at WM. I love stories like this. Guys like Neikro, Wakefield, RA Dickey, etc didn't have the right stuff without the knuckler, then bloomed late when they learned the knuckleball. Maybe Kenny will have a similar path. Doesn't hurt to try

I've never considered any knuckleball pitcher legit in the minor leagues. A-ball hitters -- even Double-A -- aren't capable of making heads or tails of a knuckleball. They are overmatched by it. Until such time as a knuckleball pitcher not only has success in Triple-A but then in the big leagues, they are always a non-prospect.

Fair enough.  I guess my question was more geared around his stuff being good enough for us to look at him at higher levels or not.  I initially viewed his signing with us as being like Havard Rugland when the Lions brought him in as a preseason kicker.

Isn't the key to knuckleballer a good fastball? Not a over powering one but well located.

Small sample and it's A ball, but Serwa continues to look good. 3 games, 11 innings, 12 ks 3 hits, 1 bb, 0 runs, .036 whip. Let's see how he does in Erie

Not sure. 2-2 count with two outs at the time. There was already a mound visit earlier in the inning. Second visit pulled him.
