Nobody is writing Dingler off.  He is good prospect, not someone you can count on (few prospects are), but someone with a lot of potential.

Right. Anybody not jumping on the hype train isn't necessarily writing prospects off, just know better than to get hopes up because most of them fail.

As a 22 yr old, it seems he’s a little behind for advancement through the minors, but is that true?

among position players at WM, 3 are younger, 7 are older, 4 - like Wenceel, were born in '99.

He's not that old, he's just been around forever already.

That said, the best prospects should be young for their league, esp non-college players.

It's true for the guys you'd expect to be impact players.

But for a guy who could be an OK big leaguer for a few years in his prime it's normal.

so far, minor league system seems to be a reflection of major league team

lots of solid to good pitching performances despite injuries up and down system (even lower tier guys)

hitters are either low-ceiling platoon or bench bats, or way too young to know if they are ML starters; above Lakeland there are only 4 guys who even might be ML starters (Greene IL, Kreidler IL, Dingler and Keith)

I'd probably put Workman in the possible ML starter category as well, otherwise this seems right to me.

Toledo has four catchers on the roster now... seems unnecessary

I was looking at the roster on MILB, and even with the 7 day ILs taken into account, the Mud Hens appear to have 17 Ps, 4 Cs, 6 IFs, and 4 OFs.  Seems a bit over the limits?  Must be some headshots need to be taken down off of the site?
