djhutch Posted July 24, 2023 Share Posted July 24, 2023 At the Mud Hens game Saturday, Wingenter looked good, except for the 3 run HR to Clemens in the first - They fought back to 3-2, then brought Blair Calvo in - which was a disaster. He wasn't helped by a 2B error by Rizzo at 1B, but gave up 4. If he keeps this production up, I would not be surprised if he starts making it on some top 30 lists and gets pushed to A-ball next year. Badler scouting report: Gil drew a lot of attention from scouts, more so for his in-game skills than his raw tools. He’s an instinctive, high baseball IQ player who puts together consistent quality at-bats with an easy swing, good contact skills and an all-fields approach to get on base frequently.
