I don't know if this was posted somewhere else, but what about this guy?

What's wrong with him?

I mean... how the heck did he not get drafted, at all, after a 1.960 OPS season, batting .521, OBP .675... 32 HR's in 45 games...

DH only? He's 32 years old and still in college (started late after hitching around the planet for 10 years...)? He has a wooden leg?

Not sure if this is the same guy - could be. If it is his Houston bio gives his actual birthday as 1/19/1999.

Keith finished 2/3 HR 2BB, Meadows 2/5 HR

also Wenceel 2/5 2B

Triple A scoring is insane this year. IL: 5.62 runs a game. 803 OPS for the league. No wonder all these guys who get sent down rake at Toledo. What is going on? Juiced ball? Tight strike zones due to robo umps? Small ballparks? For comparison the Eastern League in AA is averaging around 4.60 runs a game, on par with MLB.

Getting harder to see what they are waiting for with Malloy and Meadows. It’s not roster spots since it’s pitchers that are going to get moved.

They are both 23, not too old but hardly young. And Meadows has 2000 PAs in the minors. He'll probably never be a 125RC+ guy, but what better time to find out than the next two months? I kind of understand the Malloy wait because he has defensive issues and may end up DHing, which means Cabrera is kind of blocking him. No one is blocking Meadows, unless you want to give Baddoo more leash. Maybe its as simple as that.

I don't see what is so notable about this catch. He was slow to the ball, kinda tripped and fell and was clunky on the dive. A good outfielder glides over and makes a running catch.

yeah - describing that as a 'dive' was charitable. That is the big problem with highlight baseball. They never give you the the view of batter and the fielder from the start of the play so it's very had to know if a guy on the highlight reel is really just making what should have been a easy catch hard by either a bad read or a bad route. And of course a fair proportion of the dives in the modern game wouldn't be necessary at all if the number of modern OF able to make a basket catch hadn't been falling for decades.
