Personally, this is another case of the 'rehab' mentality run amok in the Tiger org. The kid has limited innings to give - it hadn't been that long since he had pitched - he hadn't forgotten how. If he was going burn innings he should have burned them for the Tigers. The act like they are 1/2 away from missing the playoffs and any possibility of guy having a melt down is some kind of critical. It's just absurd. Edited August 6, 2022 by gehringer_2 Quote

gehringer_2 Posted August 6, 2022 Author Posted August 6, 2022 (edited) Kerry Carpenter still has an OPS above 1000 and his K rate since his promotion is still <20% Tork 9 hits (2 HR) and 3 walks in his last 7 games. Edited August 6, 2022 by gehringer_2 1 Quote

Tenacious D Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 Nice starts by ERod (Lakeland rehab) and Bergner (Toledo). Olson continues to struggle at Erie. Quote
gehringer_2 Posted August 7, 2022 Author Posted August 7, 2022 Kerry Carpenter with another HR, his 5768th. (actually his 7th at Toledo to add to 22 at Erie) Quote
RandyMarsh Posted August 7, 2022 Posted August 7, 2022 (edited) I know it's dangerous to do "box score scouting" when it comes to minor leaguers cause they don't necessarily paint the picture on how they will handle big league pitching but it's hard not to get excited about Carpenter's numbers this year and how he seemingly keeps getting better as the year goes on particularly his K/BB numbers.
