You have to have elite level possession skills - Seider does. There’s a risk/reward that may not be beneficial. So many games come down to a split second bad decision in the defensive zone that turns into a goal at the other end. I think coaches would prefer their blue liners to err on the side of caution and not take risks. As for Seider, he has a different type of talent and can do pretty much whatever he wants well.
