I can’t look for it now but I recall a Labor Day weekend walk off against Chicago where they came back in the ninth. I swear you can see AJ’s eyes roll as the the pitch is coming to Miggy for his walk off.  AJ was walking away before he left the box.

This night I went to see The Raconteurs at Michigan Theater in Ann Arbor (one of the loudest shows I'd ever seen).   Got out of the show, got in my car and as soon as I switched to the game I heard the crack of the bat and it was the moment I realized it was going to be a truly special season.

One play I'd love to see again is Gibson practically passing Whitaker between third and home and then knocking down both the catcher and umpire barrelling into the plate.  I have never seen anything else like it.  In the same game he hit a ball completely over the right field roof.

Here is an article:https://www.washingtonpost.com/archive/sports/1983/06/15/red-sox-win-cant-stop-gibson/14341127-b597-4c7e-8908-476ae47dd89d/

Gibson actually knocked down the umpire Larry Barnett who fell into catcher Rich Gedman forcing him to drop the ball.  Strangely, Whitaker was out on the play.  Barnett was carried off the field on a stretcher.

I remember reading in The Boston Globe that the bug eyed Brown told Gibson after the play that he shouldn't do things like that because someone is going to get hurt and Gibson went ballistic.  Brown walked them the next time up and Gibson told first baseman Dave Stapleton that if Brown says anything else, he better watch out because he's going to go legally insane.  Brown was never quite the same after that!

I remember listening to that game on radio and wishing I could have seen that play.
