Green Bay looks like they're getting hot at the right time.

Path for packers at cowboys:

Packers win out, Dallas wins next week and rams beat niners.  At least one of those teams would lose.

If Vikings lose, are they out?  Would make it easier to rest/protect some of our key players next Sunday.

Also a path for Packers #6 at Lions #3. If Packers beat Chicago and Niners beat the Rams, then GB and LA Rams will both finish 9-8 and GB has the head to head tiebreaker. Not sure what happens if Seattle and/or New Orleans joins them at 9-8 though.

So the Bears seem to be like the Lions last year.   Really coming together in the 2nd half.    So they're gonna let Fields go now for an inexperienced rookie?     We love you Bears,   You keep being the Bears.

Maybe they’ll flip the first pick for another haul and keep Fields.

No, they don't want to pay Fields.    So they'll take a big step backwards.   It's the Bears.

Honestly, I'd love to see what Fields would do behind the Lion's O line. Imagine the plays BJ could come up with with a mobile quarterback.

Time will tell but the big step backwards is sticking with Justin Fields instead of drafting Caleb Williams.

Actually, the most Bears thing would be to once again draft Mitch Trubisky (Drake Maye) instead of Patrick Mahomes (Caleb).  I could see that happening.

I'm not convinced that Caleb Williams will be the next big thing. Particularly if he ends up in a bad situation with a coach who isn't prepared to control him. He just seems like Trevor Lawrence with a far worse attitude, or Josh Rosen with actual talent... Young Baker Mayfield comes to mind too... Take your pick.

Either way, he doesn't strike me as the kind of guy who will be the leader of a locker room of millionaires, or the kind of guy who will react appropriately when the league humbles him early and often.

Lol at the Panthers. Even when the Lions were at their nadir, they had their picks and the draft to look forward to. Panthers got the first pick in a draft with a potential franchise QB, and don't have it because they traded it away for a bum. Imagine if the Lions had traded a top pick for JaMarcus Russell and missed out on Calvin or Stafford.

While William Clay Ford was in his suite throwing drinks on opposing fans.

fields has been one of the worst qbs in the league in the 4th quarter of close games.

the bears keeping fields and paying him $40+ million would be great if youre a vikings, packers, and lions fan.

the bears should take williams and get harbaugh to coach him.  if they got harbaugh to coach fields, they'd probably do well too (see kapernick, colin).

Caleb has an unteachable set of skills that line up very well with today’s NFL.   His ability to use his feet and instincts to buy time in the pocket and throw on the move with power and accuracy are off the charts.    I also think he got a great amount of humble pie this past season at USC and should serve him well going forward.

There are no attitude or character issues with him.  This is just made up bs from the depths of the college football Twitterverse.   There’s nothing there of him being a bad teammate or poor leader.

Nothing concrete, but there is plenty of smoke. His dad talking about ownership of a team, him painting "F*** UTAH" on his fingernails, him refusing media contact after a loss to UCLA, him making comments like this when he does talk to the media...

These "God's gift to football" QB prospects seem to hit the draft once every five years or so. While some obviously hit and are the generational talents they were hyped up to be (John Elway, Peyton Manning), it seems like a pretty standard proportion don't meet nearly those expectations set for them (Trevor Lawrence, Andrew Luck).

The ownership rumor is 100% made up Twitter bs.  It’s completely against NFL rules and wouldn’t be allowed anyway.

Gimme a break on the manicure stuff.  You aren’t that soft.  That’s not a big deal, cmon on now.

The video you played is ridiculous.  He was a stand up guy and did nothing when a fan ran up on him after the game and pulled some total classless bs trying to clown him.  Caleb doesnt push him or touch him as we’ve seen many times in similar situations with other players.  He does the absolute right thing and gets **** for it.

Maybe I'll be wrong. I was wrong about Trey Lance.

The ownership rumor is manufactured and will never happen. I believe I had read that his dad was who started it though, later clarifying that it's just Caleb's goal to be a partial owner after retirement. It's his dad, not him, but it does seem to be putting the cart before the horse if that's a mentality he actually has. I will also say that I could be misremembering, because I can't find the report now...... To be clear, I don't care about the manicured nails. Not one iota... Painting "**** Utah" on the nails though isn't a manicure though, it's just stupid, especially when you go 0-3 in your career against Utah. Is he going to paint "**** lions" on them if he's drafted by the Bears? It's just immature IMO... You're right that he deserves credit for behaving reasonably with that moron fan, but it was the "everybody wants to be in these 12 1/2s" that made me cringe.

Again, maybe I'll be wrong.
