After the lions win on Saturday there were 12 events that needed to happen for the the lions to miss the playoffs. Rams win out, Seahawks win out, Vikings beat the packers and lions lose out. Any of those events go the lions way and they clinch the playoffs. 12 shots at it Rams won, Seahawks won. 0 for 2 now. This is there 3rd of 12 opportunities. Their only loss was an OT loss on the road to Baltimore. Definitely the team I don't want to face in the first round....which means we probably will. If they keep it up against the Giants and 49ers (who may have the 1-seed secured), they seem destined for the 6-seed. They won’t catch the Eagles or Cowboys for the 5-seed, and I would expect a 9-8 or 8-9 team to get the 7-seed. Perhaps good reason to shoot for that 2-seed.
