Russell says Red Bull ‘should win every race’ and he’s willing to ‘sacrifice’ season The engine is fine. It’s the design and concept that is flawed. They’ve been recent champions and know what it takes. It’s not like one of these teams that hasn’t won it in like 15 years. Mercedes will get fixed…eventually. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 9, 2023 Posted March 9, 2023 Charles got his team principle installed. He was very pissy with Sanchez during testing. Is this him solidifying his power at Ferrari? Quote
Deleterious Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 PBS ran a story last night that Haas Automation is doing business with Russia. That means they are breaking the current sanctions and could face some legal issues. Quote
Hongbit Posted March 15, 2023 Author Posted March 15, 2023 Gene just can quit that Russian money. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 Sounds like a nice app. I hope they do the right thing and buy it from him instead of killing it. MultiViewer for F1: The fan-built Formula 1 app so popular even F1 teams use it Quote
Deleterious Posted March 15, 2023 Posted March 15, 2023 Leclerc will take a 10 spot grid penalty this weekend for changing his control unit. Ferrari just lost two races after only one race has been run. That is pretty efficient. 1 Quote
Deleterious Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 Sounds like Max had/has the flu this week. He will be a day late arriving to Saudi Arabia. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 It wont translate when I post it: Quote Ferrari: in Jeddah there is a new front wing. Great effort after disappointing test performance to anticipate some developments on the SF-23. There is also the single-pylon rear wing, which is now mounted on both reds. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 18, 2023 Posted March 18, 2023 Devastating results for Max, qualifying 15th. Now he might not lead the race until lap 20 or so. Quote

It’s crazy but he’s still 2nd favorite at +140. He’s the best driver in the best car but cmon there’s just not enough places to pass on that circuit for him to win. Quote

He will struggle to catch Perez IMO. A lot will depend on how long Lance can tie him up and keep him off of Alonso. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 Finish was Perez, Max, and Alonso. But it was announced after the race that Alonso was receiving a ten second penalty for improperly serving his five second penalty during the race. Someone touched the car before five seconds was up. George moved up to third. Quote
Deleterious Posted March 19, 2023 Posted March 19, 2023 I spoke too soon. They reversed the ten second penalty and Alonso is back in third. At least for now. Quote

At least for now. I thought we were told at the end of the 2021 Jeddah race that the FIA could not go back and change race results even if an error was made by the marshals. All part of the off track drama that makes F1. On another note, it’s ironic that the financial rules that were put in place to hopefully make the sport more competitive are actually doing the opposite. Red Bull has created a car that’s so much better. Even if teams had potential solutions to make radical changes to try and compete later in the season, they don’t have the money in the financial cap to make it happen. Quote

Deleterious Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 The ability to change your tires while under a red flag is the dumbest rule in sports. Quote
Deleterious Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 How can you count the completed lap and not recognize the cars that changed positions on that lap? What a dumb fucking sport. Quote
Deleterious Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 Stop saying they don't have a reference point! They counted the lap! The line where the lap was counted is the reference point. Quote
Deleterious Posted April 2, 2023 Posted April 2, 2023 So Sainz just got a penalty on a lap that didn't happen. Quote
Hongbit Posted April 2, 2023 Author Posted April 2, 2023 Technically, the lap was completed under red. Alonso really got lucky with that decision and Haas just can’t buy a break. Quote
