I like him a lot and he's qualified for Governor, Senator, and POTUS. And as a Democrat, he needs to show he can turn out the black base. He needs to show he can turn out the vote in Detroit. 1 Quote

Motown Bombers Posted January 28 Posted January 28 With Whitmer out, I would probably place Buttigieg and Stevens at the top. Quote

That she won't get because too many Americans can't handle the thought of a woman being in command of the military. A felon? No problem. Democrats have to nominate a man. Sorry, I wish it wasn't that way. I wish we weren't so ****ing backwards around here. I think Gretch would be amazing, but it's got to be Andy Beshear or Wes Moore, unless some scandal breaks , but the fact that we have a convicted felon in there now means scandals might not make any difference, Bill Clinton was a walking scandal. This Michigan Senate thing. It's Mallory McMorrow's time to shine. She's a potential rock star and she shouldn't soften her language or beliefs one iota. Tiger337 Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Whether it's poliical or not, I'm sure it it will become political really quickly. The Dems will blame Trump. The GOP will blame the trans pilot. Trump will make the brief all about himself. 1 1 Quote

romad1 Posted January 30 Author Posted January 30 I fly out of there on Palm Sunday in April. Its been a while because we live much closer to Dulles. I do remember when I was younger we would do a circuit on our bikes around the Mall, the Potomac, and across the various bridges to the park right by the end of the runway. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gravelly_Point. Great airplane watching location. Horrible tragedy. I have seen some numbers on local tv of victims. Quote
oblong Posted January 30 Posted January 30 a friend of mine who does sports broadcasting work says that teams are all advised by the leagues to fly into Dulles over Reagan beause of the constant military training going on. Quote
Motor City Sonics Posted January 30 Posted January 30 Well it';s a good thing the military will no longer support MLK, Holocaust Remembrance or Juneteeth, it was obviously distracting them from training. Quote

RatkoVarda Posted January 30 Posted January 30 if they reopen, I still plan on flying out of DCA tomorrow. Taking off going North (right-side window) or landing heading South (left-side window) is one of the best views you will ever get from a plane. 1 Quote
oblong Posted January 30 Posted January 30 I've only been to DC once, in 2009, and I couldn't believe how close Reagan was to everything. Standing at Arlingon House they fly right over you... and I grew up near the airport so low flying aircraft is part of my existence. But in such an urban area it was new to me. San Diego was the same way. Quote
