He also wounded three people. James Brady, a secret service agent and a police officer.... How long before he shows up at a rally as guest of Trump as being an example of the strength of our Second Amendment freedoms to arm against the tyranny of government? 😉

If Reagan were alive today and able to communicate he'd be called a RINO. In fact there's no former Republican President other than Trump who would fit in with today's incarnation of the Republican party. Not even disgraced Nixon. chasfh
Maybe not 1972 Nixon, but perhaps a 2022 Nixon might be simpatico with Trumpian authoritarianism.
oblong
The authoritarianism maybe but Nixon also hated rich people who never had to work hard that had their father give them everything.
chasfh
I wonder whether anyone with any influence on things has ever made an overt connection between banning immigrants and banning abortion. After all, if they can successfully ban immigrants, they’re gonna need the cheap labor they’ll lose as a result, and the most godly way to replace that cheap labor is to force poor American women to have their babies. It’s a long term solution, but then, visionaries do think long term. Lucky for them, these issues the #1 and #2 issues for rank and file red hats who vote. pfife
I don't know where this would be best posted, including here... not sure it's even political. But is this as awesome as it seems on it's face? Is Cuban really this awesome?

Deleterious
Hasn't Walmart been doing that for quite a while now? https://i5.walmartimages.com/dfw/4ff9c6c9-9378/k2-_0769cdec-ad81-46f5-9e50-a463dbfabc2e.v1.pdf Might not be a 15% markup but those prices seem reasonable. He can’t work with insurance companies because they might require minimum prices for some, but I’ll bet a lot of these drugs cost less through Cuban than these same drugs discounted by insurance prior to deductibles being met. ben9753
If a single rich man can do this, why hasn’t the government ever put together such a program. Oh right. They are all bought and paid for by Pharma.

ewsieg
I have really good insurance through my work and have had the pharmacy ask me to look up something on GoodRX to see if I could get a better deal. It's worked a few times.
CMRivdogs
Most of my meds are very reasonable thru Medicare's supplemental drug insurance. The real killer on price is still considered experimental and only available thru speciality drug companies. Even though I've reached the "catastrophic" deductible level after the first month, the discount still makes me shake my head when I get the bill. Higher than my rent payments in the '80s... That's outrageous. My wife has a rare neurological condition that compromises lung function. This has been going on for 2 years, she has been hospitalized about 5 times for several days at a time, and has had a couple of different intravenous therapies, several times each, and the cost of these is tens of thousands of dollars. She is now approved for an experimental therapy that would cost hundreds of thousands. If we lived in the United States, we would have had to sell our house. That's absolutely true, no exaggeration. But, it has not cost us anything, except ten bucks here and there for pharmacy fees. We don't have private insurance, don't need it. I can pay the dentist and the optometrist by myself. You need to put a stop to this bullshit but here is your problem, the pitchman is Bernie Sanders whose personal brand requires him to present health care as wildly far-left socialist democracy when, in the rest of the civilized world without exception, it is the most centrist position that a politician could adopt. He dooms it to failure all by himself, because his brand is so important.
