davidsb623
I think the trick to start the season in 2022 is to platoon Hill and Greene in CF and Daz and Baddoo in LF. Give Grossman an occasional break using the platooners. See what shakes out and go with the hot hand. Spend the FA money on a couple of familiar starters and a lefty for the pen. Extend Candelario. And no extended trips to the DL. 1. Hill/Greene CF 2. Schoop 2B 3. Grossman RF 4. Cabrera DH – spot start at 1B 5. Candy 3B 6. Torkelson 1B 7. Haase C 8. Krieder SS 9. Daz / Baddoo RF Bench – Garneau (he has earned it) and the Castro brothers Rotation - Mize, Skubal, Manning, JV, Scherzer Pen – Alexander, Fulmer, Funkhouser, Soto, Cisnero, Wentz/Boyd, FA Lefty
Archie
Signing JV after TJ surgery is a huge risk. As much as I want to see him back in a Tiger uniform that money is better spent somewhere else.

Agreed, especially at his age . . . but . . . time for him to come full circle and be Kenny Rogers for the big three.
Motor City Sonics
Hill is injured so often, but in his defense they are all hustle plays. What happened in Tampa Sunday was 100% on the first baseman. He's not supposed to cover the whole bag with his foot and he always does it and Hill had to lunge at the bag awkwardly. MLB needs to have a word with that first baseman. The interference call was ridiculous too............Where the hell is he supposed to run on that play? Motor City Sonics
When does the 2022 season start? It wont start on time. Those two sides are not going to budge. That could be advantages for the Tigers................keep the inning load down on the young pitchers and let the young hitters get plenty of AAA at-bats before they are needed. I just have a feeling it's going to be about the time school lets out. Edited September 21, 2021 by Motor City Sonics

I suspect, however, that my money is safe. Otherwise, I like what you offer. I'm not quite ready to give up on Victor Reyes yet. He seems like someone with potential, if he can ever get his offense in gear.
Dan Gilmore
Reyes is still only 26 (27 next season), he might have a little more improvement yet. Plus he should be cheap.
Useful Idiot
Well, it certainly appears that Victor heard my call today...4 for 4 so far with two RBIs
