Joe Jimenez has lost a lot of weight.   Who is going to be our fat reliever now?

Andrew Chafin will (hopefully) be back soon enough lol

You know it’s a sure sign of spring when you find yourself cursing at the Tiger pen.

Yes and no.

Because at some point, you have to score more runs. 3 runs per game isn't a recipe for success, regardless of how the pen pitches.

Jesus, did the Tigers have early dinner reservations or something? Six pitches in the seventh, six pitches in the eighth, twelve pitches in the ninth. Twenty-four pitches in three innings, nine up, nine down. That’s what teams who are dead on their feet do.

oh well … come back and win the series tomorrow.

Exactly.... the bullpen is probably gonna take the bulk of the heat for today. And yeah, the job is to hold the lead and they didn't finish the job.

But the quality of the plate appearances late in that game just weren't good enough, especially for a team that purportedly has designs on making noise in the division. The game felt over the moment 6th ended, not in the 8th.

It's all a small sample size and eventually they will break out of it, but still frustrating nonetheless.

No doubt. They are going to have to put together more than one decent inning of offense every game.

Clemens next man up?

I don't know.  If Grossman does end up on the IL, that leaves only 3 true OFs on the big league roster (Meadows, Baddoo, Reyes).  CastroH has spent time out there, but he's also the only bench IF.  Clemens doesn't have much experience outside of 2B.  And a quick check of Clemens' fielding history shows less than 200 IP in the OF.

The other options are Cameron, Short, and CastroW, if they stick to the 40 (or Hill if he's recovered).  It seems like it would be Cameron, but it sounded like the organization was a little exasperated with him before he was sent down.
