Also, we’re any of you repeat sufferers of it? I am just curious. I got my latest shot last week, so it’ll probably be about another week til it’s taken hold. Will also note that, to my knowledge, I haven’t yet had it… or at the very least, not knowingly (haven’t been sick). Original doses: March 2021 First booster: October 2021 Second booster: May 2022 Only known positive case: late August 2022 Bivalent Booster: November 2022 Newest shot: September 2023 I have been around people who tested positive around the time I was around them and the vaccines have stood tall.
MIguy
My most recent booster was October 11th and I tested positive on October 19th. Not sure my body even had a chance to build up new antibodies in that time.

Tiger337
Fauci is in Washington today for a closed door congressional interview. I guess they figured out that getting owned by Fauci in public is not a good look.
oblong
Ha ha.... I got my latest covid booster on Friday, if you care. I can't remember if that's my 4th or 5th shot. Definitely remember getting the initial 2, then I got another one at Walgreen's like a year ago. I think there was another one in there. Need to dig out my vaccination card. Remember those??? First and only shots 5/19/21 and 6/11/21 Got Covid January 2023 (only time and I'm the only one in my house who got it). Haven't had a booster. At three different times in the last two years there has been a covid positive person in my home (recently a month ago) and I did not get it either time. So yeah. Mr.TaterSalad
Tragically, you're going to see a lot more of this in the coming decades as MAGA rejects vaccines altogether, not just the covid vax.

Edman85
I hate to bring back the term covidiot, but I will... The victory lap they are taking in light of the updated CDC guidance is definitely something. No, they weren't right all along. Our immunity has strengthened, and the virus has evolved to become weaker.

Edman85
It reminds me of Norm MacDonald's joke about cancer. You don't beat cancer or lose your battle with cancer. At worst it is a tie. As with COVID, the strong mutations of the virus died with the people it killed, or their symptoms were so severe they quarantined. As it evolved, the minor variants that are out there, that people may be more likely to spread by being out in public, effectively act as vaccines. It was always one possible outcome but since no-one knew the virus would attenuate by itself, there was no point talking about it. But it's always been true that a vaccine is only one way to reach herd immunity, the other is that everyone just catches the mild version! Edman85
I got the mildest of mild cases this week. Started noticing a sore throat Sunday night. Felt my body fighting something after lunch Monday, took an expired test Monday and showed a faint line, picked up some new Antigen tests (curbside, I'm not a heathen) to confirm. Took yesterday off, but felt better around lunch. Today, aside from a lingering runny nose, I'm off to the races. I am pretty sure, per the CDC, I am good to go out into public by now (with a mask on), but I'm going to wait until tomorrow, and am likely going to lay low this weekend and mask up wherever I go through at least Sunday or so.

smr-nj
So, after serving this country for 5 decades, a whole lot of folks won’t be happy until they vilify Fauci enough so that someone puts a bullet through his skull. Because, you know, masks.
ewsieg
I mean, there is a credible chance he helped fund the entire reason why we have a mask debate.... so I mean, take that for what it's worth.

I’ve read several articles on this recently. I’m not surprised by any of this information. If I had to define Fauci in a single word it would be, Unethical. Recently he openly admitted he had no idea where some of the BS safety guidelines originated during the shutdowns. That wasn't that recent, but he had some legitimate reasons for that too. It was new and they errored on the side of caution, additionally after his mask reversal (don't use....well, definitely use), I think they were concerned that by retreating on some additional previous decisions, it would cause folks to ignore other recommendations they felt were still important. So yeah... **** all y'all. We have credible data that indicates this could have come out of the Wuhan Lab. We have credible data that indicates we funded gain of function research (at least by some peoples definitely....wtf is that mean?!?!) there. If this is true, the people responsible for Covid made huge financial windfalls because their unethical behavior killed millions of people. Evidence is mounting how destructive it was to our youth as well. But yeah, let's just focus on the asshats that didn't want to wear a mask. They are the true problem.
