The CDC table does not say ages 5-12 have a 65.6% rate. It says that everybody 5 and over has a 65.6% rate. Big difference, yes? So, it is only logical that for the total population the rate is lower, such as 62%. You have a chance to admit that you misread the data here, it would help establish some credibility. So, Americans die from Covid at a rate more than 3 times that Canadians do. I feel certain that you have a theory about why that is. Why won't you tell us? You'll find a dozen sites giving 62% as of October. Now you're saying 62% as of yesterday. So NOBODY has been vaxxed in the US since October? Can you guys even really believe that? If we've got 70% of those 12 & up fully vaxxed, there must be virtually nobody under 12 who has been vaxxed to bring the number down that low. Are even you guys so biased that you believe that? Odds are better that your interpretation of those stats is amiss. The math makes much more sense as I presented it. What you haven't answered is why the problem is increasing as more people get vaxxed? When 100% of the people were unvaxxed we weren't getting these numbers. There is a very simple reason for this - at least in MI, which is that as the vaccine was sequentially approved for younger people the denominator in the percentage calculation increased and the % vaccinated dropped, then eventually got back to the previous level when enough new vaccinations had occurred to get the the same percentage of a now larger target population. This has all been explained on the Mich Covid (MDPH) site at each stage of the process - approval to 12 yrs and then approval to 5 yrs.
