Laws are different for rifles and handguns. When purchasing a new firearm a person has to have a background check. If you buy it for someone else and do not disclose it that's called a straw purchase and its illegal. I think the person who provided the rifle to Rittenhouse is facing charges. Quote

If you dont know the difference between firearms its best to educate yourself so you won't look foolish. Assult rifle is a term someone gave a firearm because they are afraid of how it looks. It doesn't work any different than any other semi auto firearm. If you don't like firearms, afraid of them or don't know how to use one its best to stay away from them. We don't need another Alec Baldwin. Quote
