Is it insurrection and treason, at long last? I think a conviction on insurrection would be hard to get. The fact that he personally never went to the Capitol leaves you with too indirect a line of action. Of course if the SS had been willing to take him to Capitol the case is probably a slam dunk - but then again if they had we might be in the middle of a civil war. But the case on a charge of conspiracy to interfere with government operations might be hard to defend if there is testimony from insiders like Meadows. If it's not insurrection/treason, then I'm having trouble imagining what "the big one" could be, if it's not the documents. 'Cause that's a really big one. He was not at the Capital Riot. He organized a key part of it. As did Trump.

He's already charged with plenty to put him away. If the system can't manage to convict him on the straightforward charge, another likely more complex case probably isn't going to be the difference.

He'll just get the signal that he can continue to do anything he wants and he'll do something bolder the next time. Hopefully, it will be after an election loss rather than a win. CMRivdogs
I just want two things out of Trump. 1) A written concession and a speech admitting that the 2020 election was indeed legitimate. 2) A promise that he will retire permanently from public life. No speeches, no interviews, no running for office. No meetings with public officials. He will be confined to his little bathroom in Florida. Public execution is probably off the table because he's an ex president.

digitalpigsmuggler
Titanic tour CEO didn’t hire ‘50-year-old white guys’ because they weren’t ‘inspirational’ Quote The OceanGate CEO who is trapped on a 22-foot submersible on an ill-fated voyage to see the Titanic wreck once explained how he didn’t hire “50-year-old white guys” with military experience to captain his vessels because they weren’t “inspirational.” Stockton Rush, 61, added that such expertise was unnecessary because “anybody can drive the sub” with a $30 video game controller. https://nypost.com/2023/06/21/why-stockton-rush-didnt-hire-50-year-old-white-guys-for-titanic-sub-tours/ Banging sounds heard during Titan search, according to internal US government memo Quote Sonar picked up banging sounds on Tuesday from underneath the water in the North Atlantic Ocean while searching for a submersible with five people onboard that went missing two days earlier https://www.cnn.com/2023/06/20/us/titanic-shipwreck-vessel-missing-tuesday/index.html
