Maybe she thinks the only good soldier is a dead soldier. Or at least the only useful one.

She likes them as long as they can be exploited to raise "campaign funds"

Glad to see conservatives think that a pandemic when thousands were dying each day and millions not being able to work were the "good old days".  Thanks for confirming.

I looked up gas prices. It was at $1.75 in late April 2020.  Yes the good old days.

April 2020... when the unemployment rate was 14.7%.

Does Trump get credit for that too? Or just the gas?

I think Covid gets credit for that or the governors that shut down their states.

But they don’t get credit for the gas prices?  Must be nice to pick and choose the metrics. Reminds me of fans who say “pitcher X is good if you exclude his games in April and July”.

Ahh, yes. Trump gets all the credit for the good things, none of the blame for the bad.

Rinse, repeat, etc.

meh - the trade off is that  high gas prices are good for the planet.

OTOH, to play Devil's advocate to myself, I just heard Fareed Zarkaria on Ezra Klein's podcast argue persuasively that since low oil prices hurt Putin as much as any sanction, we need to make a choice about which is more important in the short term, the ecology or the world political order. It's a fair point as long as there is some commitment to let the price back up when the immediate threat has passed.
