Instead of making COI rules just run both ways equally and apply to men as well as women, they relaxed them for spouses in the name of womens' rights, but that is a crock. There is no such thing as a marriage where one partner's interests, whether ideological or financial, don't impact the other. Anyone who says they believe the contrary is either lying, single or divorced. COI rules need to apply to married couples - period.
