I don't think his career is going to be boosted at all by mocking him in MotownForums.  Who is that other guy, is that the guy that Greta knocked out?  Think about the people who use Motownforums, are they going to have positive feelings about someone like that, be influenced by his point of view?  It's important to make sure that everyone knows about these people, and does their best to humiliate them.

No, it isn't, but the more people out there that resist piling on, the less backlash from the racists. Why not start small?

Who or what is Jason Aldean? Or maybe I don't want to know because I'm one of them city people?

(actually I grew up in the country, in a town that was probably way smaller than wherever he's from, and that's how I know that people in small towns are neither better nor worse than anybody else).

Maybe because its because life is busy at the moment, but I honestly have no knowledge of Jason Aldean or what he did or didn't do.

Because it is important to make sure that everyone here knows about it.  Motownforums is a private club, it isn't Letters to the Editor, and it is a private club where 99% of the members are opposed to white supremacists and xenophobes and their dog whistles.  So when Greta kicked that guy's nuts up into his throat, I would never have heard about it if it had not been mentioned here.

Here is an FAQ from this site:  "How did the Republicans manage to F up an entire country, top to bottom, perhaps irreparably"?  And the answer always is "Because the Democrats stood back and let them".  That's what happens when people say "just ignore them" or "don't give it oxygen".  It's terrible advice.

You have to bring this type of thing to everyone's attention, and mock it mercilessly.

There really is an asymmetry in how liberals/anti-Trump conservatives are chided if they don't walk on eggshells in expressing their displeasure or disagreement with Trumpy figures, yet there are no expectations at all of Trumpy types who get to attack people or places (ie. Chicago, California, etc.) without any expectations of decorum whatsoever.

Without knowing the details of this Jason Aldean thing, that's all I'm gonna add.

Self own. This just proves right wingers love sub mediocre crap. Liberals weren’t drinking bad beer or listening to weak pseudo country music with fake cowboys.

Why do conservatives take pride in seeing a big company fail and why are politicians going after this company? I thought they were supposed to be pro business and free market.. Budweiser marketed their product using a trans theme. It didn't work and they lost money.  EVERYTHING a big company does is about profit.  This was not a political decision.

Re: the whole beer thing. there are several of us who don't drink the brand because we've their beer sucks. I haven't had a AB product since they've been owned by a company based in Belgium and Germany. i'm also old enough to remember when you went to an AB owned amusement park. Now it's part of a multi national corp and their parks are over priced and substandard.

I guess to the MAGA's of the world who love to get gouged on very expensive roller coasters and watery beer that's woke

Bud Light has always been my default light beer of choice when I'm out socially and not trying to get drunk. It's just funny how it's never in the cooler at parties now and I get looks when I order one at the bar.

Something was up at one of the DC courthouses.  Apparently the mentally unstable seditious former President was posting all manner of social media about it.

Bud Light kept me a good boy up to my  mid 20's.  I hate it.  Could never drink it. For the longest time I just assumed I didn't like beer. Then in 1996 or so I was handed a Killian's Irish Red and as they say it was all downhill from there.

I'm not opposed to cheap beer but Bud LIght is something I just cannot drink.  I'd rather go with iced tea or water in a scenario if that's my only lighter option.   I went to a local show in Hamtramck last year and it was midweek so I had Miller High Life all night.  It was fine.  For lighter beers I usually go with an Atwater Dirty Blond or a variation of Founders All Day.

I'm so conservative that I'm still stuck in conservative views from years past where 'cancel culture' sucks.  That said, I do feel like this bud light one is a bit different.  It's one thing not to like a direction a company takes, but when the only communication you get out of the company is that it's core consumer is ****ty, I don't understand how they are surprised about losing so many.

To take this on a product point and not a political point, I'll point to GM.  They are planning on moving forward without ApplePlay and the Android equivalent.  They are gambling their replacement will win over consumers.  At least GM didn't claim their replacement will be so much better because Apple and Android users are sheep that are content with whatever crap is shoveled to them.

I'll take you at your word when you say that you've always felt that way, but conservatives have largely failed to "walk the walk" on this stuff for a long long time.

I'm old enough to remember the Iraq War, for instance.... conservatives didn't call it "cancel culture" back then because they were the ones doing the "canceling"

I'm so conservative I'm still in the days of separation of church and state, that religious right segment has certainly enjoyed to 'cancel' things.

Right.... "cancel culture" has always existed, but the only reason we hear about it now is because causes that used to be taboo, such as LGBTQ rights, are now ascendant. And there are a lot of folks, whose causes or views previously were more predominant, are really unhappy about that.

How about the thousands and thousands of members of clergy worldwide who have sexually abused and violated children. If any Republican wants to complain about the mistreatment and abuse of children, start with clergy and not the LGBTQ community.
