The thing about the Paul Gosar video is that, if you're standard is "if I did this thing at work I'd be fired", well, it meets that standard.

Meanwhile, in the great halls of our government, 47% of the House apparently thinks that's ok.

So true.  You get fired from almost every other workplace in the country for doing this to one of your coworkers.

It’s a damn shame how Trunpism has killed the professionalism of Grand Ole Party and in turn taken our entire legislative branch with it.

Al Franken got shamed out of office for less.

it won't mean a thing.   he'll be a hero to those nutjobs.

there was a time losing your committee assignments would have made you dead meat against an opponent from either other party or your own because you wouldn't have any legislative work to show, but in a party where legislating is no longer even remotely the point, you are correct.

The thing is, he'll get his committee assignments back as soon as the Republicans regain the House.

Politics is a form of entertainment for most Americans, for better or worse.

if I remember correctly he was before the dude who handed out tobacco money checks on the floor, but after the dude who cheated on his second wife while she had cancer.

He was after the dude who was speaker elect or some shit that had to resign over a sex scandal. That dude was after your dude  who also resigned over a sex scandal.

I just discovered my primary care doctor follows Dr Oz on Twitter. Now I have to find a new doctor. I can no longer trust her judgement.

He might follow him so when the next person says “I heard……”, he can quickly respond “stop listening to Dr Oz”.

I believe he retweeted it shortly after McCarthy claimed he deleted it, which undermines McCarthy in multiple ways, as if undermining mccarthy matters at all.

Al Franken's existence basically undermined Kevin McCarthy entire case (ie. "Rules for thee, not for me"). Along with Katie Hill for that matter.

We can all debate the degree to which each side polices their own and whether it's enough but, objectively, the two parties are not the same on this question at this point in time.
